Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island hold first public night tours September 24 and 25

As part of the fes­tiv­i­ties, atten­dees will expe­ri­ence a sneak pre­view of Ken Burns’s new doc­u­men­tary The National Parks: America’s Best Idea pre­mier­ing on PBS the fol­low­ing evening.

US Border Travel Changes

As of June 1st, 2009 new entry doc­u­ments are now required for U.S. cit­i­zens return­ing home from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda, by land or sea.
