Today, the Transportation Security Administration issued new security directives to all United States and international air carriers with inbound flights to the U.S. effective January 4, 2010. With just 17 blackout days, skiers and riders can enjoy the benefits of the World’s Most Extensive Snowmaking System covering the most diverse terrain served by the most lifts in New England, and one of the longest seasons in the east from early November through early May at an outstanding pre-purchased price. To kick-off the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation’s celebration of the national parks on September 26 — National Public Lands Day — the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island will for the first time, open to the public for a special evening tour and program event on September 24 and 25, 2009. As part of the festivities, attendees will experience a sneak preview of Ken Burns’s new documentary The National Parks: America’s Best Idea premiering on PBS the following evening. As of June 1st, 2009 new entry documents are now required for U.S. citizens returning home from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda, by land or sea. |
