Lighthouses are endur­ing icons that evoke a sense of mys­tery and excite­ment. How many times have you looked at a light­house and won­dered about the ships it guided in, and the ones that wrecked? America is dot­ted with light­houses along both the east and west coast, the Gulf of Mexico and through­out the Great Lakes, and they’ve long been a focus for photographers.
