Beginning this week, Explore Minnesota Tourism will publish weekly reports on downhill ski and winter trail conditions. These online reports offer enthusiasts information on where the conditions for downhill and cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are optimal.
The downhill ski report, provided in partnership with the Minnesota Ski and Snowboard Association (MnSNO), contains information on 14 downhill ski areas across the state. The winter trails report covers ski and snowmobile trail information across the state as reported by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and community organizations.
In addition to these reports, exploreminnesota.com offers comprehensive information on lodging, attractions and events to help you plan your winter vacation. An additional mobile application (m.exploreminnesota.com) allows travelers easy access to a subset of relevant information from the extensive database that is behind Explore Minnesota Tourism’s main Web site – exploreminnesota.com. The mobile site also allows users to plan a trip on the Web and save those details to a ‘trip planner,’ which they can now easily access from the road – no more need to print out all the details!
