Our Photo of the Day is this great shot of the Matthiessen Low Dells Waterfall by ToddBlm. Taken in Matthiessen State Park which is located in cen­tral LaSalle County, Illinois, approx­i­mately four miles south of Utica and three miles east of Oglesby.

The main canyon con­sists of the Upper and Lower Dells. The Upper Dell begins at Deer Park Lake and con­tin­ues to Cascade Falls, where the canyon drops 45 feet and the Lower Dell begins.
