Calling all base­ball fans! Visit Minneapolis Minnesota for TwinsFest, and while you’re at it, maybe it’s time to redis­cover Mall of America for some indoor fun.

The Minnesota Twins today announced that tick­ets for TwinsFest 2010 are now on sale. Tickets are avail­able at www.twinsbaseball.com, by call­ing (612) 33-TWINS or (800) 33-TWINS, by vis­it­ing a Twins Pro Shop in Roseville, Apple Valley or Minnetonka, at the Metrodome ticket office through December 21, 2009 and at the Target Field ticket office start­ing January 4, 2010.

TwinsFest admis­sion prices are $8 in advance for adults ($12 at the door) and $4 in advance for chil­dren 14 and under ($6 at the door). Advance pric­ing ends at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010.

TwinsFest 2010 is sched­uled for Friday, Jan. 29 from 4 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Metrodome. More than 50 cur­rent, for­mer and future Twins play­ers are expected to appear through­out the course of the week­end. A com­plete list of play­ers attend­ing will be released in the com­ing weeks on www.twinsbaseball.com.

TwinsFest 2010 will fea­ture many new and return­ing attrac­tions including:

  • An inside look at Target Field – from the Metropolitan Club to the Budweiser Roof Deck to Hrbek’s and more.
  • An exhibit by Twins cura­tor Clyde Doepner “New Beginnings: 1961 Metropolitan Stadium…1982 H.H.H. Metrodome…2010 Target Field.”
  • A National Baseball Hall of Fame exhibit cel­e­brat­ing the 50th sea­son of Twins baseball.
  • The Upper Midwest’s largest base­ball card show and col­lectibles extravaganza.
  • A base­ball skills area fea­tur­ing speed pitch, Home Run Derby, MLB yard ball, bat­ting cages and more.
  • Silent and live auc­tions of rare sports col­lectibles (live auc­tion begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday).
  • Free youth clinics.
  • National Anthem audi­tions (reg­is­tra­tion at event required).
  • Celebrate Diversity area show­cas­ing the dif­fer­ent cul­tures, indi­vid­u­als and char­ac­ter­is­tics that make up Twins Territory.
  • Ticket cen­ter to facil­i­tate your sea­son ticket and Spring Training ticket needs.
  • The first 1,000 fans each day will receive a 2010 Twins Target Field calendar.

TwinsFest, one of the largest team-run fan fes­ti­vals in pro­fes­sional sports, is an annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Since its incep­tion in 1989, TwinsFest has raised more than $3.9 mil­lion for pro­grams and orga­ni­za­tions sup­ported by the Twins Community Fund.
