The Delta Blues... Southern Music at its Finest

The Annual Pilgrimage to the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival attracts thousands of visitors to the banks of the Mississippi River. The event is known for its laid-back atmosphere and the throbbing, powerful wail of blues music wafting along historic Cherry Street.

This year's Blues Festival features a variety of performers, ranging from the legendary to legends in the making. Sam Carr, Pinetop Perkins, the Cate Brothers, Anson Funderburgh, Dave Riley, Hubert Sumlin, Michael Burks, and Bobby Rush are all slated to appear. With over 25 performances scheduled from the main stage alone, the three-day festival is a musical paradise for blues enthusiasts from around the world.

World Class Fun for Just a Few Dollars a Day

Although the music is definitely the main draw, the festival offers much more. A variety of vendors are located along and around the festival area, offering items ranging from arts and crafts to festival food and drinks. The downtown area also offers a large selection of shops offering items from music and antiques to one-of-a-kind gift ideas.

The event is one of the most affordable music events in Arkansas. Admission to the Main Stage area is $5.00 per day or $10.00 for a three-day pass. Admission is free to all other areas of the festival.

The Arkansas Delta

The Arkansas Delta is a region defined by culture... the people, the history, the food, and the landscape. But the heartbeat of the Arkansas Delta is the music... a never-ending rumble heard above the trials and tribulations of a region that has fought hardship and lived to see the next day. The nucleus of that heartbeat is the blues. The sound wraps around you. Come experience the journey of the blues musician -- ranging from sadness to joy, agony to ecstasy, poverty to prosperity.
